The legal industry is two and a half years in to its GenAI era and yet the same unsubstantiated hype continues to dominate conferences, headlines and social media. The only means to combat this unhelpful noise is with data. We are seeking to establish an index that provides a more accurate and holistic picture of AI adoption across the industry, and which we can then track through the next years. 

We are deeply experienced and connected, but independent, members of the global legal community. We invite every law firm, legal team and legal professional to share their reality and experiences. All responses will be anonymised before reporting. Sensible segments will be established to help compare like-for-like. Organisational progress will be compared to the experiences of legal professionals. By triangulating these perspectives and applying our newly defined adoption framework, the industry can gain a multi-dimensional and more honest picture of the state of AI adoption within legal.

The index will remain public and free for all to both contribute and access.
